As the legend says, the horn of plenty gives unending sustenance – this marvel of precious stone carving stands splendid, covered in grapes and flowers of otherworldly beauty. The entire grand piano’s rim, legs, and bench are adorned by countless jewelry-like semi-precious flowers and grapes that center stage among curvatures of gilded Rococo carvings and masterful vignette paintings. Precious malachite at the edge of the lid and the fallboard stands out with its natural color and pattern, adding a genius touch of green to this gold, white and grape-colored splendor.
The lid also features a raised rosette that showcases hand-painted flower garlands. The underside of the lid is hand pained, as well as the sides of the gilded music stand. The exuberance of Rococo panache is reflected in oversized curved carvings book-ending the keyboard with sculptural gold arabesque worthy of the ancient Gods.
