Every once in a while an architectural masterpiece comes along that reframes our idea of what a building can look like and what is possible to construct. 1000 Museum is such a building, conceived and built by the late Zaha Hadid’s architectural firm and in perfect alignment with the bionic/futuristic aesthetic and vision of this legendary female architect. At 62 stories it’s one of the highest residential towers in Miami and is ultra luxury, costing practically double that of any other luxury high rise. And for a good reason. No other building resembles anything like 1000 Museum. It’s as though an alien ship has landed on Earth in all its fascinating glory.
Bionic exoskeleton hugs the tower looking almost like a remnant of giant creature synergized with glass and concrete. Nestled within are 84 residences that breath splendor and luxury. It’s almost like legs of a fantastical dragon fly – gently touching the ground while supporting its delicate translucent body. When the piano lid is open it resembles a wing of a living organism – ready to take flight. We feel the curvaceous lines of the 1000 Museum are in perfect consonance with curvatures of Hive Xtravaganza. Indeed it looks as though the building gave birth to the piano. That certainly makes for a very sci-fi kind of a fantasy – surely the great late Zaha Hadid would appreciate that.

Our other pick for this unique building is Lucid Enzo Piano – a carbon fiber dream of a piano that looks like it is already airborne as it sits perched on its elegant V-shaped pedestal with its body tapering off towards the tail into a slender, aerodynamic shape.
