The very thing that makes most upright pianos unattractive to people is what gives Lumiere Upright its character: the shape of the box. Once realized in acrylic versus wood, what used to be solid is now a transparent, light reflective kaleidoscope of crystal, metal, and wood. The transparency of its body reveals the upright’s inner beauty, so for the first time, we can see the gorgeous iron frame, the strings, and the moving action! It becomes a kinetic sculpture of elegantly moving parts captured within the crystal when it is played, whether by a person or by a piano player system.

The optional Light Kit provides even more magic, especially in the evening. Soundboard and keyboard are made of German spruce, Abel hammers, Rosslau strings with Plexiglas acrylic. Fantastic quality for the price.
