Perfect Piano for One Thousand Museum
Every once in a while an architectural masterpiece comes along that reframes our idea of what a building can look like and what is possible to construct. 1000 Museum is such a building, conceived and built by the late Zaha Hadid’s architectural firm and in perfect alignment with the bionic/futuristic aesthetic and vision of this legendary female architect. At 62 stories it’s one of the highest residential towers in Miami and is ultra luxury, costing practically double that of any other luxury high rise. And for a good reason. No other building resembles anything like 1000 Museum. It’s as though an alien ship has landed on Earth in all its fascinating glory.
The bionic exoskeleton hugs the tower, appearing almost like a fragment of a giant creature fused with glass and concrete. Inside are 84 residences that exude splendor and luxury. Naturally, each will need an equally stunning piano to infuse these otherworldly beauties with life and musical sounds. We think the most organic choice for this building’s aesthetic is Hive Xtravaganza grand piano. At its core it is a semitransparent grand with bionic trapezoid cutouts in its body and lid that features transparent acrylic. Its legs and pedal column are narrow and curved – a significant structural element that no other piano in the world possesses. It’s almost like legs of a fantastical dragon fly – gently touching the ground while supporting its delicate translucent body. When the piano lid is open it resembles a wing of a living organism – ready to take flight. We feel the curvaceous lines of the 1000 Museum are in perfect consonance with curvatures of Hive Xtravaganza. Indeed it looks as though the building gave birth to the piano. That certainly makes for a very sci-fi kind of a fantasy – surely the great late Zaha Hadid would appreciate that.

Our other choice for this unique building is Lucid Enzo Piano – a dream of a piano that looks as if it is already airborne, perched on its elegant V-shaped pedestal with its body tapering toward the tail into a slender, aerodynamic form. We picture Enzo in white or bright turquoise to complement the color of the iconic Miami waterways facing the building. However, Enzo can be customized in any color you prefer — so interior designers can have fun deciding whether their Enzo should be neon orange or lime green.
